Overview
Join the dedicated Maintenance team at The May Fair Hotel as a Shift Engineer (Shift Leader).
Your role will be central to maintaining the hotel’s impeccable condition:
- Responding swiftly to repair and maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Prioritising repairs, planned maintenance, and compliance work to ensure seamless operations
- Overseeing the quality of completed tasks against company standards
- Delegating maintenance tasks to assistants, ensuring skill alignment
- Upholding all legal fire, health & safety regulatory standards
You’ll manage daily operations with confidence, ensuring The May Fair London’s reputation for excellence continues.
Requirements
Essential Skills
- Current hotel maintenance experience (proven background essential)
- Health and safety expertise – knowledge of protocols and practical application
- Technical proficiency – from electrical/plumbing repairs to paintwork/decorating and light carpentry
- Water management awareness – understanding leak/drainage issues and regulations
- Environmental dedication – adherence to ESG standards
- Housekeeping familiarity – basic understanding of associated processes
