Monday:Friday 3:Shift Pattern (6:2 / 2:10 / 10:6)

Would you like to work for a growing local business, that has the job security of being part of a multi-billion-pound global manufacturer, at their flagship UK site.

Due to a recent promotion, they are looking for an electrically biased shift engineer to join their team.

As a Shift Engineer your key role and responsibilities will be:

  • Carry out PPMs, reactive maintenance and continuous improvement projects
  • Industrial electrical fault finding and problem solving, along with minor mechanical repairs
  • Support reliability engineering, looking to make things run more efficiently
  • Working on various production and packaging machinery, conveyors, automation and control systems
  • PLC: electrical fault finding
  • Use and regularly update the CMMS systems
  • Dealing with industrial equipment, motors, sensors, servo drives, proximity systems, control panels, inverters, contactors, gearboxes, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics

Knowledge, skills and experience need to be a Shift Engineer:

  • Must be an experienced electrical biased engineer or industrial electrician
  • Level 3 qualified or higher in electrical engineering: apprenticeship trained
  • PLC: electrical fault finding skills
  • Must have worked in fast-paced manufacturing previously
  • Willingness to learn new things and suggest improvements
  • Strong computer skills: using automated CMMS systems
  • Must be able to read and follow electrical and pneumatic schematics and drawings
  • Team player, but able to work on own initiative when needed
  • Previously have worked on high-speed production, processing and packaging machinery
