Would you like to work for a growing local business, that has the job security of being part of a multi-billion-pound global manufacturer, at their flagship UK site.
Due to a recent promotion, they are looking for an electrically biased shift engineer to join their team.
As a Shift Engineer your key role and responsibilities will be:
- Carry out PPMs, reactive maintenance and continuous improvement projects
- Industrial electrical fault finding and problem solving, along with minor mechanical repairs
- Support reliability engineering, looking to make things run more efficiently
- Working on various production and packaging machinery, conveyors, automation and control systems
- PLC: electrical fault finding
- Use and regularly update the CMMS systems
- Dealing with industrial equipment, motors, sensors, servo drives, proximity systems, control panels, inverters, contactors, gearboxes, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics

Knowledge, skills and experience need to be a Shift Engineer:
- Must be an experienced electrical biased engineer or industrial electrician
- Level 3 qualified or higher in electrical engineering: apprenticeship trained
- PLC: electrical fault finding skills
- Must have worked in fast-paced manufacturing previously
- Willingness to learn new things and suggest improvements
- Strong computer skills: using automated CMMS systems
- Must be able to read and follow electrical and pneumatic schematics and drawings
- Team player, but able to work on own initiative when needed
- Previously have worked on high-speed production, processing and packaging machinery
