Shift Engineer – Stourton Dairy, Arla

How You Will Make An Impact
As a Shift Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering critical breakdown support across complex production lines
- Carrying out planned, preventative maintenance and servicing via a CMMS system
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues using structured problem-solving techniques
- Championing health and safety standards and participating in risk assessments
- Supporting site projects while contributing to performance improvements
This full-time role operates under a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (shift rotations: 2 days / 2 nights / 4 days off), requiring a commitment to 12-hour shifts.

Requirements & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Experience from FMCG, food, or regulated manufacturing environments
- An apprentice-trained or time-served engineering background, equivalent to at least:
- NVQ Level 3
- ONC (Ordinary National Certificate), HNC (Higher National Certificate), or above
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or fault-finding
- Proficiency in using CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM) and Microsoft Office
- The ability to work at pace, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively
