GBP62,500 + Overtime

Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying into bakeries, supermarkets and online food delivery companies. They are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Shift Engineer that is mechanically biased, to join their close-knit team.
Role And Responsibilities
- Provide electrical and mechanical support and repairs for all production equipment and site services
- Carry out PPMs, reactive maintenance and project work
- Working on conveyors, food production and packaging machinery, PLCs, mixers, rollers, ovens, freezers, automation and controls, control panels, steam systems, robotics, wrappers, baggers
- Carry out planned maintenance activities to ensure plant safety and reliability
- Dealing with pneumatics, inverters, compressors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, inverters, sensors
- Project engineering: hands-on equipment upgrades and continuous improvements
- Utilise the CMMS systems fully and assist in its development

Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Must be an experienced multi-skilled engineer but have a strong mechanical bias
- Previously have worked in food or FMCG manufacturing/production
- Qualified to HNC/HND level preferably or NVQ Level 3 Engineering as a minimum
- MUST have completed a UK based time-served apprenticeship
- Able to work well under pressure in a busy manufacturing environment
- Positive and driven character
- Knowledge of continuous improvements and project work
- Able to work well under pressure
- 17th or 18th Edition qualified beneficial
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems
