Do you want to work for a leading food manufacturer that is going through a lot of progressive growth with the UK's supermarkets? Due to expansion within the team, they are looking for shift engineers to join.
Role and Responsibilities of a Shift Engineer
- Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production and packaging machinery
- Working on control panels, HMIs, PLCs, SCADA Systems
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding, problem solving and repairs
- Continuous improvement projects
- Dealing with motors, VSDs, servo drives, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, inverters
- Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Need to be a Shift Engineer
- Multi-skilled engineer: ideally electrically biased
- NVQ Level 3 engineering or maintenance minimum
- Ideally HNC/HND qualified: time-served apprenticeship
- Must have worked in some form of fast-paced/Food/FMCG manufacturing industry
- Strong electrical and mechanical problem solving skills
- Knowledge of PLCs, automation and control systems, HMIs
- Worked on motors, inverters, VSDs, sensors, switches, pneumatics, gearboxes
