JOB DESCRIPTION

Abbott's Diabetes Care business designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems and test strips for use in both home and hospital settings, and we have recently launched a new system that will revolutionise how people with diabetes around the world monitor their glucose levels. We are passionate about doing work that improves the quality of people’s lives.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Lead to join our Sensor Manufacturing team. Developing, leading and motivating your team, you will ensure quality, yield and output deliverables, maintain and champion EHS initiatives, and drive 5s and process improvements. On a day to day basis, you will take ownership for your area, acting as a representative at daily meetings, reporting on metrics, escalating issues, and coordinating between teams. You will support the daily walk-around activities, interacting with quality, engineering, and other relevant support functions as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
