Shift Lead – Retail Floor Operation (Fill Lead)
Work Pattern
Week 1
- Monday: 13:30 — 21:30
- Tuesday: 13:30 — 21:30
- Saturday: 13:30 — 21:30
- Wednesday: 10:00 — 18:00
- Thursday: 05:00 — 13:00
Week 2
- Tuesday: 05:00 — 13:00
- Saturday: 05:00 — 13:00
- Wednesday: 13:30 — 21:30
- Thursday: 13:30 — 21:30
- Friday: 10:00 — 18:00
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older to comply with health and safety legislation.
Purpose of the Role
As the Shift Lead, you will:
- Lead the fill operation, ensuring the sales floor is ready for trading
- Take operational responsibility for coordinating resources to Serve, Sell, and Fill
- Act as a floor leader in the absence of the Colleague Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate resources to complete operational tasks during fill shifts and in the absence of the Colleague Manager
- Lead the fill operation, coaching colleagues on best practices (One Best Way) to enhance performance and store readiness
- Allocate staff efficiently to ensure a quick and seamless payment process
- Ensure all daily operational processes run smoothly and at the correct times
- Coordinate the team to maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented store
- Foster a great team atmosphere that is inclusive and supportive for all colleagues
- Role model exceptional customer service
- Uphold Marks & Spencer behaviours and Colleague Expectations across the store

Additional Duties
- Provide support to Colleague Managers by sharing colleague insights to drive high performance and recognise strong work
- Assist nearby stores if required for operational cover
- Serve as a key holder and respond to call-outs as needed
