Shift Lead
Shift Lead – B&Q Margate
Overview Full-time, permanent position Location: B&Q Margate
- Hours: 36.75 per week
- Salary: £27,709.50 per annum (Full-time equivalent banking arrangement + Pension + 6.6 weeks holiday)
- Flexibility: Keyholder position with shifts from 6am to 9pm daily

What’s the job?
As the heartbeat of the store, you’ll:
- Maintain smooth, efficient operations during your shift.
- Deploy staff effectively to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Act as the primary point of contact for both colleagues and customers.
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operations to ensure the store runs seamlessly.
- Allocate colleagues during busy and quiet periods to make every visit profitable.
- Be the friendly, approachable face of the store—bridging any questions or issues swiftly.
- Champion B&Q’s culture of customer-first thinking and colleague talent.
- Spot hazards and compliance risks, and take proactive action.
