B&Q Exeter | Full-Time (36.75 hrs/week) | Permanent Contract
**: Full-time equivalent £27,709.50 per year (exclusive of £0.27/hr store-specific location allowance) – pension included • 6.6 weeks holiday • Flexible shifts (earliest start: 6am, latest finish: 10pm)
About the Role
This is a keyholder position, crucial in ensuring both a safe working environment for colleagues and a positive shopping experience for customers. As B&Q’s ambitions grow, we seek passionate individuals who can champion customer-centric excellence while fostering a welcoming store culture.
At our B&Q Exeter branch, your responsibility as Shift Lead is to:
- Drive daily operations to cultivate excellence in service, safety, and store organisation
- Place utmost importance on keeping our stores, colleagues, and customers safe and satisfied
- Operate as the primary point of contact—ensuring solutions are delivered efficiently and effectively

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate staff deployment to optimise workflows and maximise customer interactions throughout shifts
- Manage day-to-day operations — troubleshoot issues and maintain seamless service
- Uphold safety standards with attention to detail and proactive compliance
- Engage with colleagues and customers fostering a culture of competence and positivity
