Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Shift Leader to oversee our clients CNC machine shop operations, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and meets quality standards. You’ll lead a team, drive performance, and support continuous improvement.
Reporting to: Manufacturing Manager
Shift: Triple (Nights, Lates & Earlies)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily shift operations to meet production and quality targets
- Promote a strong health & safety culture and ensure compliance
- Manage and support Team Leaders, including labour allocation and performance
- Conduct shift briefings and maintain a visible shop floor presence
- Oversee workflow, job prioritisation, and machine utilisation
- Support training, development, and performance reviews
- Resolve production issues and escalate maintenance concerns
- Drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime (OEE)
- Ensure accurate job bookings and production records
- Maintain high housekeeping and audit standards

- CNC machining background (essential)
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Good communication and team leadership ability
- Computer literate
