Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced Shift Leader to oversee our clients CNC machine shop operations, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and meets quality standards. You’ll lead a team, drive performance, and support continuous improvement.

Reporting to: Manufacturing Manager

Shift: Triple (Nights, Lates & Earlies)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily shift operations to meet production and quality targets
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture and ensure compliance
  • Manage and support Team Leaders, including labour allocation and performance
  • Conduct shift briefings and maintain a visible shop floor presence
  • Oversee workflow, job prioritisation, and machine utilisation
  • Support training, development, and performance reviews
  • Resolve production issues and escalate maintenance concerns
  • Drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime (OEE)
  • Ensure accurate job bookings and production records
  • Maintain high housekeeping and audit standards
