A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Shift Leader to join us on a prestigious contract in Canary Wharf. This role consists of a day and nights continental shift pattern working 07:00-19:00/ 19:00-07:00.

Purpose

As a Shift Leader at Smart Managed Solutions, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operation of the relevant shift carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to building systems within the contracted area of responsibility.

To carry out PPM, reactive and breakdown works to all Electrical systems within the site. Engineers must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of Air conditioning, UPS, Generators, LV systems, which will include the ability to fault find using the production of graphical information and the utilisation of current alarm data.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Perform routine PPM on all electrical plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists.
  • Complete reactive tasks throughout the building and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls should also include concessionary stores and fabric-related items.
  • Maintain plant faults and defects by ensuring they are swiftly remedied to keep plant in serviceable order.
  • Provide suitable spares to carry out both maintenance and reactive works, including parts inventory and estimated timescales for remedial works.
  • Keep the Computer Based Maintenance system (e.g. Concept, Smart Hub) up to date, ensuring that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
  • Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
  • Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
  • Secure all plant rooms under the responsibility of Smart by keeping them locked at all times and maintaining a clean and tidy condition.

Education and Training:

  • Formally trained in City and Guilds Electrical Installations or the equivalent NVQ and Building Services maintenance.
  • 18th Edition BS7671 City and Guilds
