Your Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Spearhead individual, team, and location initiatives to drive sales and business performance
  • Collaborate with your General Manager to lead company initiatives
  • Regularly meet with the Senior Leadership Team to share feedback, drive improvements, and contribute to the success of your store, customers, and team
  • Set the tone and create lasting connections in the neighbourhood as one of the early staff at your location
  • Craft beautiful coffee products and serve customers with energy, warmth, and empathy
  • Support your General Manager (GM) and the Training Team in onboarding new employees, ensuring:
    • Appropriate training for menu items and processes
    • Proper uniform policies
    • Positive team morale
  • Open and close the location safely and responsibly (Key Holder) and ensure:
    • Adherence to cleaning duties throughout the shift
  • Handle minor customer issues with a positive, solution-focused approach
  • Lead initiatives with the operations and marketing teams to:
    • Increase foot traffic
    • Attract new customers
    • Raise daily sales
    • Improve operational profitability
    • Build a loyal neighbourhood customer base

Requirements

Experience & Fit

  • Experience in customer service or hospitality (essential)
  • A deep love for café culture and enthusiasm for people
  • An approachable, friendly person who thrives in team-based environments
  • Strong coffee knowledge and equipment mastery
  • Proven decision-making and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Passion for building regular customer loyalty through outstanding service
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments
  • Starling ambassador able to represent the Blank Street brand in new neighbourhoods

Availability

Full-time role:

  • 35 hours per week
  • 5 days’ availability per week (required)
  • Must be available to work 2 peak days (Peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Operating hours: 6:30 am – 9:00 pm
  • Weekend and holiday availability preferred (especiallly noted)

Must be authorised to work in the UK.
