Shift Manager
Doncaster
£35,000
Monday – Friday, perm mornings (6:00 – 14:00)
Elevation Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a growing organisation that has recently invested in a brand-new distribution facility in South Yorkshire, in their search for a Shift Manager to take ownership of the morning shift.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the day-to-day performance of your shift, leading operatives and support teams to deliver excellent operational performance and meet targets.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend majority of your time out on the shop floor, coaching your team, solving problems and ensuring operations run smoothly.

- Lead, motivate and develop a team of operatives & support staff
- Manage daily operations to ensure productivity, quality and service targets are achieved
- Plan labour effectively to maximise efficiency across the shift
- Drive a strong health & safety culture
- Monitor and improve key operational KPIs
- Manage materials handling equipment and ensure equipment is maintained safely
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs
- Use Warehouse Management Systems to monitor performance and maintain accurate operational records
- Resolve operational issues quickly to minimise disruption
We’re looking for experienced operational leaders with the below skills and experience:
- Previous leadership experience in high volume manufacturing or distribution
- Confidence to motivate teams and make decisions in a busy environment
- Strong people management skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
- Knowledge of operational and KPI management
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- FLT Licence, or previous experience within high FLT traffic environment
- A passion for delivering high standards of safety, quality and customer service
- IOSH would be beneficial
