Maintenance Planner/Technical Lead – Key Accountability

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety (H&S) legislation at all times
  • Manage and enforce H&S systems and processes across the site
  • Accountable for planning, execution, and monitoring of the maintenance schedule
  • Perform AMHE equipment servicing according to equipment manual standards and timeframes
  • Ensure CMMS adoption, accurately recording all work and generating required reports
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating shift patterns
  • Monitor site inventory and inventory levels
  • Conduct scheduled repairs aligned with manufacturers’ recommendations and industry best practices
  • Diagnose and repair faults in:
    • Mechanical systems
    • Electrical systems
    • Electronic systems
    • PLCs
    • PCs (Supporting technical teams as required for complex issues)
  • Maintain quality outputs in all maintenance activities
  • Engage in continuous improvement and explore sales growth opportunities
  • Represent the company professionally at all times, fostering strong customer relations
  • Adhere to Quality processes as defined by Dematic
  • Risk assess overdue maintenance and prioritise updates to the maintenance plan
  • Maintain control of maintenance costs and programme execution
  • Define toolbox and PPE requirements for assigned personnel
  • Plan inventory of spares for both preventive and reactive outages
  • Prepare and submit periodical reports on service activities
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and development of Dematic Resident Site Employees
  • Conduct short-, medium-, and long-term capacity and capability planning
  • Perform annual appraisals for direct reports

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of automatic systems, particularly in intralogistics environments
  • Technical knowledge of:
    • Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic systems
    • PLC programming/systems operation
    • Technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
  • Eligibility/qualification for working-at-height safety
  • First Aid training certification
  • Previous experience with conveyor systems maintenance and troubleshooting
  • PC proficiency, including databases/fleet management software
  • Experience with preventive maintenance (PPM) scheduling
  • Team management and leadership experience—leading or supervising technical teams
  • Application knowledge of applicable H&S regulations
