Shift Manager

Humdinger, Bromborough

Humdinger is looking for an experienced Shift Manager to join our team at the Bromborough site. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to performance, safety, and quality in a fast-paced FMCG food manufacturing environment.

As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing shift operations and supporting the team to achieve targets across performance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £45,096

Breaks: 2 x 30 minutes

Hours: 39 hours (rotating shifts, Monday – Friday)

Monday - Thursday:

  • Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
  • Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00
  • Week 3: 22:00 - 06:00

Friday:

  • Week 1: 06:00 - 13:00
  • Week 2: 13:00 - 20:00
  • Week 3: 20:00 - 03:00

Closing date: Wednesday 22nd July 2026

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of approximately 30 operators and 2 supervisors across processing and packing
  • Oversee daily operations, including shift handovers, KPI management, and labour planning
  • Support the delivery of targets relating to efficiency, output, and service
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) activities using Lean methodologies
  • Maintain standards in GMP, food safety, quality, and health & safety
  • Support team development through training, coaching, and regular communication

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Shift Manager, Production Manager, or Operations role within food manufacturing
  • Experience supporting or leading teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of performance measures (KPIs) within production or operations
  • Knowledge of GMP, food safety, and quality standards
  • Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement tools
  • A structured and collaborative approach to problem-solving and team engagement
