Shift Manager – Evening Shift (Mon-Fri) | Hinckley
DP World are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join our fast-paced operation in Hinckley. This role requires management of the evening shift (16:00–00:30, Mon–Fri), with responsibility for planning, coordination, and execution.
About the Role
- Provision of 24/7 service excellence, ensuring the highest available standards at all times
- Shift planning & KPI performance:
- Set and monitor targets
- Identify and address non-achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Facilitate clear handover processes between internal departments and external carriers to ensure complete product transfers
- Operation coordination:
- Productivity optimisation
- Cost control & resource utilisation
- Service-level achievement
- Full responsibility for Health & Safety (H&S) during assigned shifts
- Cross-functional issue resolution, ensuring efficient operational output during shift
- Leadership of 15 direct reports and 10 indirect reports, including warehouse operative supervisors
- Team development:
- Skill training & motivation
- Effective resourcing strategies

Key Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in shift management or operational supervision within a fast-paced logistics environment
- Customer relationship expertise: Proficient in maintaining strategic stakeholder partnerships
- Technical competencies:
- Strong maths, English and MS-Office skills
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) expertise
- Leadership:
- Proven ability to train, develop, and motivate teams
- Experience in diverse warehouse/operational settings
- Soft skills:
- Team player with strong verbal/written communication
- Adaptability to a fast-paced, autonomous, goal-oriented work culture
- High commitment and proactive mindset
