Position: Shift Manager
Contract Type: Permanent – 45 hours
Location: Runcorn
Shift: Evenings / Monday-Friday

What you’ll do:
- You will lead the depot operations team, with a focus on conducting effective driver pre-briefs and de-briefs.
- Ensure all driver and operational documentation is accurately completed and maintained.
- Provide clear communication for drivers and customers via telephone and company IT systems to support operations.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the team of Operations Controllers, overseeing resource planning and conducting driver pre-briefs and de-briefs.
- Manage transport, courier, and fleet operations efficiently to ensure service standards are met.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed in full compliance with site risk assessments.
- Oversee daily operations and promote operational best practices.
- Plan and allocate operational resources effectively in line with workload requirements.
- Monitor operational costs and lead investigations into claims or discrepancies.
- Handle and resolve any issues which arise, identify risks.
- Ensure daily communication takes place between shifts and ensure that an accurate ‘hand over’ process is in place.
