Shift Manager – Warehouse Operations 📍 Location: InPost Warrington, 14 Clayton Road, Warrington, WA3 6NH

As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you will supervise daily operations, optimise mechanical parcellation, and lead high-performing teams to deliver outstanding results.

Shift Details
📅 Shift Pattern: Wednesday to Saturday (PM Shift) 🕒 Hours: 40hrs per week 💰 Salary: £36,000 per annum
What You’ll Be Doing
- Run daily operations: Manage and improve smooth, efficient day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Improve performance: Identify ways to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and track key performance metrics for continuous gains.
- Keep parcels moving: Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure parcels are accurately sorted, processed, and dispatched.
- Lead the team: Train, support, and motivate employees to deliver their best work.
- Collaborate internally: Communicate and coordinate effectively with other departments to maintain seamless operational flow.
- Follow procedures: Ensure standard processes are consistently adhered to for quality and consistency.
- Prioritise safety: Uphold all health and safety standards, while maintaining a secure and compliant workspace.
- Shift management: Hold overall responsibility for shift performance and execution.
- Driver coordination: Organise and conduct clear, efficient briefings before and after shift changes.
- Maintain warehouse order: Keep the workplace clean, organised, and operational.
- Governance adherence: Ensure all company policies, standards, and protocols are rigorously upheld.

Requirements
To excel as a Shift Manager at InPost UK, we need:
- Leadership experience: Proven track record in managing teams, with preference for experience in warehouse or logistics operations, including knowledge of sorting mechanical-parcel systems.
- Warehouse expertise: A deep understanding of warehouse operations, efficiency improvements, and process optimisation.
- Team leadership: Demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and guide teams towards achieving set goals.
- Strong communication: Excellent ability to collaborate across teams and convey information clearly.
- Tech-savvy: Familiarity with working across warehouse systems, tools, and technologies.
- High-pressure adaptability: Resilience and efficacy in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while sustaining precision and high levels of organisation.
- Growth mindset: Committed to continuous improvement, always looking to innovate and optimise workflows.
- Legal eligibility: Right to work in the UK.
