Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join us at our reverse operation in Langlands Park, East Kilbride, working alongside our customer, Sainsbury’s. This operation is all about recycling and reuse which is an important part of the supply chain, ensuring equipment management and repair support to the customer and their distribution operations.

This is a full time, permanent position, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06:00 to 18:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £34,271.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Oversee the running of the tray wash and recycling operation on the night shift
  • Ensure that the site is utilising resource effectively, monitoring headcount, efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Promote and develop a health and safety culture on site in line with the company’s policies
  • Get involved with performance management, KPI monitoring and drive continuous improvement initiatives

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • A warehouse operational management background
  • An excellent understanding of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Experience of leading teams, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring and creating development plans
  • The ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal capacity
