The Role: Shift Manager
**Tasked as a hybrid people and process leader, you’ll manage our parcel-sort hub across 5 shifts/week (M-F), optimising operations while leading a team of high-performing associates.

Boost performance:
- Seek cost and efficiency gains (e.g. sortation process tweaks)
- Monitor KPIs for data-driven adjustments

Align with strategy:
- Partner with Operations Manager to ensure seamless parcel handling—sort, process, dispatch
- Champion safety and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Leaders and community builders:
- Train, motivate, and upskill your team (with a focus on building 80+ productive subordinates)
- Develop a positive team culture by clearing roadblocks and inspiring peak performance

Department collaboration:
- Facilitate clear driver briefings (pre/post-shift communication)
- Ensure cross-department harmony for flawless process flow

Operations guardian:
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain consistency
- Foster a clean, safe, and organised work environment
What We’re Looking For
✨ Leadership: Proven track record of team management in a logistics/warehouse setting—familiarity with sortation systems is a bonus.
✨ **Operational savvy:**Lean muscle for warehouse efficiency—often processes, root-cause problem solving, process improvement.
🔄 Teamplayer mindset: Spiritual successor to the coach who mobilises teams through praise and strategy.

Location & Logistics
📍 Address: 69 Whitbrook Way, Stakehill Industrial Estate, Midland, M24 2SJ 🕘 Hours: • 14:00–22:30 (flexing to 40 hrs/week) • 5 shifts per 7 days (primarily Mon-Fri)
💴 Salary range: £30,598 to £35,108/year (increment based on experience)
