Job Description
We are recruiting for an experienced Shift Manager to lead our depot operations team during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Shift Manager, your core accountability is to manage and motivate a team of warehouse operatives efficiently during overnight operations. Your key role includes:

- Overseeing the unloading of lorries and ensuring parcel sortation meets KPIs
- Maintaining Confirmed at Depot (CAD) % targets
- Achieving throughput targets and tip time compliance
- Achieving saturations and parcels-per-person-hour targets
- Ensuring Health & Safety, productivity, and cost efficiency standards
- Resourcing additional staff during short-notice absences
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in fast-paced operational management with direct team leadership responsibility
- Strong people management skills—able to mentor, motivate, and lead high-performing teams
- Effective communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and time management
- Resilience, adaptability, and self-motivation to thrive in a demanding environment
- Proficiency in Google Chrome-based applications and data analysis
- Vigilance in detecting and addressing unethical/inappropriate behaviour
