Our specialist client is currently recruiting two Shift Operator/Technicians for their industrial plant in South Ayrshire.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe and proactive approach to running of all plant equipment on SCADA
- Assisting with breakdowns and escalation as required
- Apply operational policies and risk assessments to ensure that day to day operations are compliant, are carried out safely, efficiently and effectively, to the highest quality, positively driving the performance of the site(s)
- Assist the Process Team Leader with continually improving processes working towards Manufacturing Excellence
- Report daily on the site OEE/KPI's documenting contributing factors when targets have not been met
- Assist where required to document operational procedures and risk assessments, review and highlight when updates are required
- Carry out first line maintenance tasks as per CMMS
- Ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues, and visitors to site by identifying and addressing any hazards, potential hazards and safety issues on site
- During shift ensure that the planned inspection / testing and maintenance regimes are carried out on time (liaising with the Maintenance Team)

Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified to at least NC level or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline; ideally holding/HND/HNC/Degree or equivalent in Engineering Practice/Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
- Essential: Due to the location of the site a full driving licence and access to a car are required. A Full driving licence is also a requirement as the role involves driving of site vehicles
- This is a 24 hour/365 day a year Shift Pattern with 159 worked shifts a year as standard - Day Shift is 12 hours 7am-7pm, night shift is 7pm-7am with rostered breaks - full shift pattern details. Must be able and prepared to work Night Shifts
