Shift Operator (Permanent) – Wrexham, UK

About the Role
We need a proactive Shift Operator to join our Production Team in Wrexham. In this key operational role, you’ll maintain and operate critical machinery to ensure seamless production.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain advanced production equipment, including Balers, Palletisers, and Re-Work Palletisers
- Conduct regular line quality checks to ensure products meet industry standards
- Print pallet tickets for outgoing orders and establishised quality control procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine issues (e.g., strapper jams, restarts)
- Operate forklift trucks to assist with material movement
- Perform outgoing product inspections to guarantee quality output
- Follow strict safety protocols, including 6S and housekeeping procedures in Wrexham
- Monitor and meet efficiency and spoilage targets
- Support job rotation across operator tasks, including line clearances when necessary

Professional Requirements
Essential
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment
Desirable
- Previous experience in shift work
- Hands-on experience in a runs at high production speeds
