Shift Station Supervisor – Lead the Team That Keeps Britain Moving
Location: London Bridge Station Contract: Full-Time Salary: £32,432 + Location Allowance (12-month secondment opportunity available)
About The Role
Take Charge and Deliver Excellence
As a Shift Station Supervisor, you’ll lead the station team by ensuring outstanding customer service, safety compliance, and high operational standards. This hands-on leadership role requires managing operations daily—shaping a secure, efficient, and welcoming environment for all passengers.
What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise station teams (including agency staff) to uphold safety protocols and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Direct and monitor daily operations, ensuring copyright procedural checks and handling non-compliance issues.
- Collaborate with station users to prevent accidents and investigate incidents when they occur.
- Lead emergency responses, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., British Transport Police).
- Improve service standards through feedback and performance monitoring, supporting Shift Station Managers.
- Conduct daily briefings, assign duties, and manage resources—including arranging short-notice cover.
- Conduct routine station checks, address hazards proactively, and log all incidents.
- Enforce emergency procedures and ensure team adherence to safety measures.

Your Experience And Skills
Essential Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication—complemented by assertive crisis handling.
- Proven customer service experience in a role requiring interpersonal engagement.
- Educational attainment at GCSE (or equivalent) level in Maths and English.
- Experience managing confrontational situations and operating under pressure.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental awareness—including willingness to complete Station Incident Officer Training upon appointment.
- Ability to contribute to CTC clearance eligibility.
Desirable Attributes
- Previous experience supervising staff in operational roles.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification in workplace safety.
- Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., for multilingual passenger environments).

This 24/7 shift-based role requires: ✅ CTC clearance. ✅ Drug and alcohol testing. ✅ British Polymer Security Standard (BPSS) pre-employment checks.
