What You'll Do -
Responsible for running shifts and assisting (and deputizing for) the Store Manager (when absent) to make sure the store operates smoothly on a day-to-day basis including ensuring good availability of stock, adequate staff cover, store is clean and presented beautifully inside and out, quality checks are carried out, all maintenance issues are dealt with swiftly Responsible for ensuring shift is handed over completely and correctly to next Shift Manager / Store Manager Responsible for supervising the team and ensuring outstanding customer service is being delivered Responsible for assisting the Store Manager to ensure maximum sales are generated with minimum wastage, paying attention to all daily and weekly targets Responsible for making sure POS and labels are complete and in the correct place Responsible for participating in training, development and supervision of the team, leading by example Responsible for supporting the Store Manager to ensure Health and Safety compliance with current legislation and with Company policy Provide great customer service Process ambient, fresh, packaging, and consumable deliveries Display and merchandise stock Stock rotate, check sell by/use by dates and record Serve, process transactions and pack customers groceries in bags Dispose of waste to the correct containers Perform general cleaning duties
