Shift Supervisor - Goals (18+ only due to licensing)

This role is primarily a Team Member position, with additional Shift Supervisor responsibilities undertaken when management cover is required.
Overview
The post holder will fulfil Team Member duties as their core role, supporting the day-to-day operation of the Club across reception and bar functions. Special circumstances may require temporary supervision duties, including:
- Managing operations in the absence of a Manager
- Consistently maintaining service, safety, and operational excellence
Shift Supervisory responsibilities remain ad-hoc and contingent on management requirements.
Team Member Duties (Primary Responsibilities)
Your core responsibilities centre on delivering high standards of customer service, including:
- Delivering a professional and welcoming front-of-house service
- Managing bookings, enquiries, and payments accurately
- Completing face-to-face and telephone sales
- Operating tills and booking systems confidently
- Working efficiently in busy bar environments
- Ensuring cleanliness, presentation, and service standards
- Building positive customer relationships to foster repeat visits and increased customer spend
- Handling cash and card transactions responsibly
- Supporting promotions and Club initiatives

Note: Evening and weekend shifts are required. As bar duties are included, candidates must be 18+.
Shift Supervisor Duties (Additional Responsibility)
On designated occasions, the incumbent will step into a senior management capacity, covering as follows:
- Acting as the senior person on duty during periods without a Manager
- Maintaining consistent delivery of service, safety, and operational standards
- Providing supervision and support to Team Members
- Resolving escalated customer issues effectively
- Completing opening and closing procedures as required
- Administering basic cash and operational tasks
- Communicating with Management about shift-related matters
Skills & Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Proficient in computer use (basic Microsoft Word & Excel)
- Cash and transaction handling experience
- Leadership mentality – setting the standard as a senior role
