I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
It is a long-term creative position for someone who wants to build a body of work within a luxury house.
The role
You will be responsible for creating the artwork that defines TOM MARTIN across bespoke client projects and our own collections. Working closely with Tom and other illustrators, you will translate stories, places, architecture and brand worlds into our distinctive illustrated style.
Your work will become part of a permanent archive of collectible designs, many of which will live in collections and with historic hotels around the world.
Over time, as the Studio grows, this role may develop into Lead Illustrator, setting visual direction, mentoring future illustrators and safeguarding the House style.
What You Will Do
- You will create original illustrations for bespoke commissions for clients such as luxury hotels, fashion houses and heritage brands.
- You will develop artworks for our own TOM MARTIN collections and limited editions.
- You will prepare artwork for inside painting production, understanding how line, colour and composition translate onto glass.
- You will work with the Brand and Operations teams to ensure artwork is delivered on time, to brief and to standard.
- You will help document and evolve the House illustration style as the Studio grows.
