SHOPIFY DEVELOPER

£40,000 – £50,000

Newark on Trent area, Nottinghamshire

On-site role

Shopify / Liquid / HTML / CSS / JavaScript / CRO / Technical SEO

Contact: daniel.massey@searchability.com

THE ROLE

A rare chance to take genuine end-to-end ownership of a high-volume, revenue-critical Shopify store. This isn't a maintenance gig or an agency hand-off — you'll own the storefront as a product: design, front-end build, integrations, performance and the ongoing roadmap of improvements. You'll design, code, test and ship week in, week out, working closely with the Head of AI, marketing and operations to keep conversion, speed, merchandising and customer experience moving forward.

THE BENEFITS

  • Salary of £40,000 – £50,000 depending on experience
  • Genuine ownership of a revenue-critical store — set the standard rather than maintain someone else's
  • The backing of a profitable, long-established brand serious about its next chapter
  • Real opportunity to develop and progress as the business grows

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

THE SHOPIFY DEVELOPER ROLE

You'll live in the store — knowing every template and theme section, understanding how a customer moves from first click to delivered product, and relentlessly improving conversion, page speed, merchandising and UX. You'll build and ship theme work in Liquid, HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript, integrate third-party apps via the Storefront and Admin APIs, and make sure the store reflects how the business really runs — accurate stock, honest delivery promises, and a checkout that converts. Exposure to Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, GA4, headless/Hydrogen and AI-assisted development would all be a bonus.
