Shopify Software Engineer
£40,000 | Fully Remote | UK Based

We're looking for a Shopify Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering ecommerce platforms, customer-facing products and business-critical systems.
This is a genuinely fully remote UK role where you'll have the autonomy to own solutions, solve complex problems and help shape the future of a rapidly evolving technology platform. While Shopify is at the heart of the role, you'll also work across a modern engineering stack including React and Python.
What you'll be doing
- Build, enhance and optimise Shopify stores, integrations and applications
- Develop software using Shopify, React and Python
- Work across customer-facing products and internal platforms
- Design scalable, maintainable and reliable solutions
- Collaborate with Product, QA, Data and Platform teams
- Take ownership from discovery through to production delivery
- Contribute to technical decisions and engineering improvements

What we're looking for
- Strong commercial Shopify development experience
- Experience within an ecommerce, agency or consultancy environment
- Strong React development experience
- Commercial Python experience
- Experience building production software and integrations
- Strong understanding of APIs and third-party services
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Someone who enjoys ownership and accountability

- Shopify Plus experience
- Shopify app development experience
- CI/CD and deployment experience
- Monitoring and observability tools
- Experience working within agile engineering teams
