Web Development & Digital Platforms Executive

Chelsea, London – Office based

£35,000 – £40,000

Are you a technically capable web specialist with strong hands-on Shopify experience? Do you enjoy improving websites, solving technical problems, and developing new ecommerce functionality? Would you like to take ownership of the digital platforms for a long-established luxury interiors brand and help shape its future online offering?

We are recruiting for a Web Development & Digital Platforms Executive to join a highly regarded British interiors business based in Chelsea.

About the Role

This is a hands-on technical role with responsibility for the company’s website and connected digital platforms.

The current website is built on Shopify, but the business is looking for someone who can assess the existing setup properly, identify where improvements are required, and recommend the best direction for the future.

This may involve developing the current Shopify platform, introducing additional systems, or, if the existing platform cannot deliver what the business needs, helping to recommend and implement an alternative solution.

A major future project will be the development of a new B2B trade portal, giving trade customers a more effective way to access products, account information, pricing, and ecommerce functionality.

About the Business

We are working with a long-established British luxury interiors brand with an excellent reputation for craftsmanship, design, and exceptional visual quality. The business works with interior designers, architects, trade customers, and private clients across the UK and internationally. Its collections are highly design-led, and the website plays an important role in presenting the brand, showcasing products, and supporting both retail and trade customers. This is an environment where technical performance and visual presentation are equally important. The website must function reliably, but it must also reflect the quality, detail, and heritage associated with a premium interiors brand.

The Opportunity

You will become the company’s main internal website and digital platforms specialist.

Your initial focus will be to carry out a full review of the current Shopify website, looking at its structure, functionality, performance, integrations, and overall customer experience.

You will identify what is working well, what needs improving, and whether the current platform can support the company’s longer-term plans.

From there, you will help create a clear development roadmap covering website improvements, ecommerce functionality, systems integrations, and the future B2B trade portal.

You will complete appropriate development work directly while also coordinating external developers, software providers, and the company’s established IT partner where specialist support is required.

This is not a digital marketing, social media, or graphic design position. The role is focused on web development, ecommerce functionality, platform performance, integrations, and technical problem-solving.

What You Will Be Doing

Website Ownership and Development

  • Take day-to-day technical ownership of the company website
  • Review the current Shopify setup, codebase, functionality, and performance
  • Identify technical limitations, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement new website features and enhancements
  • Troubleshoot bugs, broken functionality, and performance issues
  • Maintain responsive performance across desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Ensure a reliable and intuitive customer journey
  • Maintain high standards of usability, accessibility, and visual presentation
  • Test and document changes before release
  • Keep themes, applications, and integrations properly maintained

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
