The Role

Our new Shopper Marketing Manager will play a key role in delivering impactful retailer and shopper activation plans across some of the UK’s best-known food brands.

Working closely with Brand, Category and Commercial teams, you’ll develop and execute customer-focused shopper campaigns that drive visibility, engagement and sales across major grocery and convenience retailers. From retail media and in-store theatre to digital activation and e-commerce optimisation, this role offers broad exposure across the full shopper marketing mix within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Shopper Marketing or Customer Marketing professional looking to take ownership of retailer activation plans, strengthen customer partnerships and help shape how brands connect with shoppers in-store and online.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop annual shopper marketing plans aligned to brand strategy, retailer priorities and joint business plans
  • Use shopper, retailer and market insight to identify opportunities to drive conversion and category growth
  • Build strong working relationships with retailer marketing teams to secure activation opportunities and support joint initiatives
  • Lead customer-specific activation plans across POS, retail media, digital content and in-store activity
  • Manage shopper and design agencies to deliver impactful campaigns and materials
  • Support optimisation of retailer e-commerce platforms including search terms, imagery and product content
  • Oversee POS production, artwork approvals and campaign implementation timelines
  • Monitor retailer, competitor and shopper activity to identify opportunities and emerging trends
  • Track campaign effectiveness and ROI using retailer and market performance data
  • Support commercial and category teams with retailer presentations, sell-in decks and range reviews
  • Ensure all activity complies with retailer guidelines and relevant legal requirements including HFSS regulations
  • Manage shopper marketing budgets and support accurate forecasting and reporting

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
