Position Summary
Nestlé UK&I – Coffee has an exciting opportunity for a Shopper Activation Manager to join the Coffee team on a temporary fixed term contract basis.
As a Shopper Activation Manager, you’ll be required to lead the development of the activation strategy for a top 4 grocer; managing the budget & optimising investment aligned to the brand and commercial strategies.
You will plan, deliver and evaluate strategic shopper activation solutions which deliver competitive advantage, through detailed understanding of Nestle category & brand plans, customer strategies, shopper insight and operational delivery.
Your impact
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Build strong relationships externally with retailer and agency contacts
- Develop strong understanding and continuously evolve what best in class looks like for your retailer/s – including competitor benchmarking inside and outside the confectionery category
- Develop tailored and consistent activation plans where relevant for the customers and deliver exceptional execution through prioritised initiatives.
- Working with cross functional teams as relevant and shopper agencies if required to optimise delivery of the above
- Develop, communicate and manage project plans for each event for the particular customers and ensure that all key stakeholders are aligned and updated regularly.
- Excite and delight the customer on our future shopper plans through the delivery of engaging experiences
- Develop an annual activation plan considering budget and retailer specifics as part of annual planning

Your ingredients for success
This is an exciting role, and we’re looking for commercially astute candidates with a desire to deliver results and who demonstrate an ability to influence and manage stakeholders internally and externally. And of course, you need to enjoy working as part of a supportive team.
The following skills and experience are desired:
- A sound understanding of shopper marketing principles
- Excellent customer facing skills from a sales/marketing/category role within the FMCG sector
- Experience working in shopper activation roles previously – planning, delivering and evaluating tailored activation plans for assigned customer
- Strong communication skills
- Good commercial acumen and understanding of ROI principles and evaluation
- Budget management experience
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to work with ambiguity and at pace
