Part-Time Retail Associate – Summer Shifts (5.5hrs p/w)
About the Role
Join our store teams this summer and help create an unforgettable customer experience in a fun, energetic environment. Short-term contracts (up to 12 weeks) provide the perfect opportunity for flexible, seasonal work.
We’re a FTSE-100 retail giant – the UK’s second-largest fashion retailer – combining over 450 brick-and-mortar stores, Next Online, and global reach across 80+ countries. With 44,000 employees (including Kidswear’s market-leading dominance), we are a team who supports, learns, and succeeds together.
Every shift is critical, and we offer a fast-paced yet supportive environment where your hard work makes a difference.
Note: Availability for the Summer Sale weekend (Friday 3rd July & Saturday 4th July) may be required, depending on your start date.
What You’ll Do
Your role will involve sales floor support, stockroom operations, or a mix of both—whatever keeps our stores running efficiently. Here’s where you’ll shine:
Sales Floor
- Deliver fast, friendly, and expert service to help customers find their perfect items
- Maintain a bespoke, well-stocked, and visually appealing shop floor:
- Stock assisting
- Merchandise organisation
- Ensuring the space remains clean, tidy, and inviting
Stockroom
- Process deliveries efficiently and replenish sales floors to stay fully stocked and presentable
- Handle pick, pack, and transfer tasks to meet customer timescales and ensure accurate order processing
- Keep back-of-house areas clean, safe, and organised

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
