Havwoods operates directly in the UK, Australia, and North America, with distribution partners supporting the rest of the world.

Role Description

As a customer facing business, our showrooms are seen as a crucial conduit between the business & our clients, a reflection of our ethos & standards, very often playing a critical part in the overall customer experience. This role holds the responsibility of ensuring that every aspect of the showroom is performing to the highest of standards at all times & those working within the showroom are doing so collaboratively & as efficiently as possible. The individual will work with colleagues from both within the showroom & across the business in garnering cross department, multi-disciplinary collaboration, ensuring the necessary process & strategic focus is in place to maximise lead generation & conversion.

This is a role that will naturally encourage greater accountability to be taken & greater leadership to be shown over time. The successful candidate will be the primary liaison between the internal Havwoods Sales Team and the client & someone not afraid to have a voice, not afraid to be challenged, that can think creatively, encourage others & ultimately inspire those around them. The position holder will always harness the ability to deliver the high quality and positive Havwoods Customer experience to its customers.

  • To play a fundamental role in the day to day running of the showroom.
  • Servicing client requirements, understanding the requirements of their project before guiding them through suitable options.
  • Listen carefully, ask questions and tailor your recommendations to the client's needs.
  • Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of our extensive collection of products.
  • Providing technical advice.
  • To build long-term relationships with key clients, interior designers, architectural practices and commercial customers.
  • To play an influential part in creating a friendly, relaxed and professional atmosphere where every client feels comfortable, welcomed and valued.
  • Reporting all showroom data in a professional and timely manner adhering to Pipedrive compliance.
  • To take day to day responsibility for the management of showroom sampling
  • Keep the sample library organised and report any damaged or missing samples or panels promptly.
  • Carry out weekly reviews of sample and Woodbook stock, placing replacement orders where required.
  • Arranging the return of discontinued panels and hand samples to EB.
  • Applying a highly organised approach ensuring the panels and samples are well arranged and everything has its place in the showroom.
  • To develop initiatives that foster a high-performing, customer-focused, collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities: Showroom operations

  • To work with colleagues to ensure that procedure is in place / implemented to maintain the highest of standards across facilities, displays and customer spaces.
  • To work hand in hand with the facilities team to ensure compliance with health & safety, company policies and operational procedures.
  • To play an influential role in the design stage / hosting of showroom events, launches and client experiences.
  • To work hand in hand with our Marketing team to support campaigns, launches and events.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve showroom operations & enhance the customer experience.
  • Identifying local opportunities, events & industry activities that will help strengthen our presence within the design community.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
  • To actively encourage greater collaboration between departments; Showroom, Business Development & Sales.
  • To develop initiatives that foster a high-performing, customer-focused, collaborative culture.
  • To represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities.
