Retail Showroom Sales Advisor - Brewers Decorator Centre
Location: Lewes Road
Hours: 40 hours per week over 5 days (Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on a rota basis)
Salary: £28,136 per annum, plus company pension and benefits
About the Role
We are excited to welcome a new Retail Showroom Sales Advisor to our forthcoming Brewers Decorator Centre in Lewes Road—opening this summer!
The new store aligns with our mission to be the premier decorating destination for professional decorators and home decor enthusiasts in the South East. Offering an extensive product range, including trusted brands like Armstead, Crown, Dulux, Farrow & Ball, Little Green, Johnstones, Sadolin and our in-house Albany brand, the store will operate with the following hours:
- Monday – Friday: 7 am – 5 pm
- Saturday: 8 am – 5 pm

- Delivering exceptional in-store service, offering design advice, consultations, and recommendations to enhance customer experiences.
- Utilising your product knowledge (especially bespoke services like wallpaper, paint, fabric, and furnishings) to assist customers in selecting the right solutions.
- Boosting sales of the Wallpaper, Paint and Furnishings product ranges, including bespoke products.
- Collaborating on display and merchandising, ensuring stock trends and popular items remain visually accessible.
- Preparing quotations for custom solutions, mixing paint, processing orders, and coordinating special requests across the branch network.
- Managing stock maintenance, from unloading deliveries to arranging inventory.
- Supporting safety practices as required (e.g., Fire Marshall or First Aider training).
Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- Outstanding customer service and communication abilities to:
- Understand customer needs and customise product suggestions.
- Enthusiasm for interior design, merchandising, home decor, and trends.
- A friendly, approachable personality—equally adept at supporting customers and colleagues.
- Essential experience in made-to-measure/bespoke industries (e.g., paint mixing, quotations).
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Willingness to upskill through training, including Fire Marshall or First Aid qualifications as required.
- Previous retail or product knowledge scenarios are advantageous (though training will be provided).
