Shunter Driver
Job Purpose:
To receive incoming product from production and other means, manage this stock effectively and to despatch product in a timely manner to meet the customer needs. The transportation of products to various points in despatch in a safe and productive movements.
What You Will Contribute:
- To demonstrate a complete understanding of various activities required in the despatch department but may also have expert knowledge in one activity/area or competent in several areas across the dept.
- Loading and unloading of vehicles and assisting in the movement of product at despatch.
- Take a prominent role in safely securing loads.
- Shunting loaded and empty trailers in a busy vehicle environment.
- Some manual handling and heavy lifting will be involved.
- Demonstrate understanding of the quality requirements in the role by reporting products out of spec, equipment, pests, GRNs, damaged bread coming through from checkpoint/Plant 3.

What You Will Bring:
- Valid Driving Licence
- One year’s experience in a manufacturing organisation, preferably food or similar
- Knowledge of food industry machinery will be beneficial to this role, although is not essential
- Good time management skills
- Good attention to detail
- Enthusiasm and a desire to develop a career within Roberts Bakery 1887
