Shunter/Cleaner – First Bus Wells Depot
Location: [First Bus Wells Depot](http://mapq URLmeren), Priory Road, Wells, BA5 1SZ
Working Hours: 40 hours per week Shifts: Sunday–Thursday, 17:30–02:00
Pay: £14.31 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Preparation: Fuel and shunt vehicles around the depot, ensuring they are ready for daily operations or scheduled cleaning.
- Exterior Vehicle Cleaning: Wash vehicles under chassis and exterior pressure washing to meet safety and appearance standards.
- Maintenance Checks:
- Ensure oil and water levels are up to correct specifications
- Top up fluid systems as required
- Interior Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Conduct thorough interior cleaning of buses
- Perform general site maintenance tasks as directed for a clean, safe depot environment
- Record Keeping:
- Accurately record work carried out on vehicles
- Complete necessary inspection sheets and records as required
Requirements
✅ Must hold a valid UK driving licence (turning consideration for this role). ✅ Previous cleaning experience is beneficial, though not essential. ✅ Eligibility to commence in the UK—background and right-to-work checks are a necessary part of the recruitment process.
Preferred but Not Essential Skills
- Experience with bus fleet management or depot operations
- Candidates with a PCV licence or maintenance experience will be considered favourably.
