Description
Shutdown Operatives – Fixed Term Contract - September to December 2026 – FAWLEY
Fawley Refinery is the UK's largest integrated petrochemical complex that normally operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
In line with a planned maintenance shutdown of operations at Fawley, Trant engineering will be looking for a number of operatives to join our team on a fixed term basis.
Due to the nature of the work significant overtime is on offer. With c. 60 hours per week on both day and night shifts there is strong earning potential.
Subsistence is available for the duration of the shutdown for applicants willing to work away.

We successfully deliver complex turnkey engineering projects in sectors such as Process & Water, Energy, Defence, Oil & Gas and Nuclear.
Key Responsibilities
- Working outdoors in small teams and reporting to supervisors, operatives will be undertaking:
- Cleaning operations.
- Site maintenance.
- Confined space work.
- Civil engineering works.
Requirements
Applicants will need to be reliable and responsible with a good awareness of health and safety in the workplace and a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and challenging work environments.
- Petrochemical, civil engineering or construction site experience a bonus - concrete bunds, reinforcement, formwork, pipework, excavations, confined spaces, etc.
