Shutdown Supervisors - FTC - September 2026 - FAWLEY

Fawley Refinery is the UK's largest integrated petrochemical complex that normally operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

In line with a planned maintenance shutdown of operations at Fawley, Trant Engineering are looking for proven supervisors to join our team on a fixed term basis.

Due to the nature of the work significant overtime is on offer. With c. 60 hours per week on both day and night shifts there is strong earning potential.

Subsistence is available for the duration of the shutdown for applicants willing to work away.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working outdoors you will be overseeing / putting small teams to work and reporting to Site Manager.

Teams will be undertaking:

  • Cleaning operations.
  • Site maintenance.
  • Confined space work.
  • Civil engineering works.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role on construction or engineering projects.
  • Hands-on experience supervising site teams, subcontractors, and operatives.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Desirable

  • Valid UK CCNSG card.
  • Previous experience of working in a Petrochem environment.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Experience liaising with clients, consultants, or regulatory authorities.
  • Experience with QA/QC processes and project documentation.
