Role Overview

We are looking for skilled Groundworkers / Carpenters to join our RC frame and groundwork teams on busy projects across Greenwich. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of groundwork and reinforced concrete frame activities, including excavation support, drainage, foundations, and the construction, installation, and striking of formwork systems for reinforced concrete structures.

You will work as part of an experienced team delivering major groundwork and concrete frame construction projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out all aspects of groundwork and shuttering carpentry on reinforced concrete frame projects
  • Assisting with foundations, ground beams, pile caps, drainage, kerbing, ducting, and associated groundwork activities
  • Constructing, erecting, and striking formwork for:
    • Decking and slabs
    • Walls
    • Columns
    • Staircases
    • Lift shafts
    • Ground beams and pile caps
  • Working with traditional timber formwork and proprietary shuttering systems
  • Installing and dismantling aluminium beam decking systems, panel decking systems, and Peri Trio shutters
  • Assisting with excavation support, concrete pours, and finishing activities
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately to required dimensions, levels, and tolerances
  • Using hand tools, power tools, and plant safely and effectively
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and complying with all site health and safety procedures
  • Working effectively as part of a gang to support programme delivery
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organised manner

REQUIREMENTS

  • CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker or relevant Groundworks/Formwork qualification)
  • Proven experience in groundwork and/or shuttering carpentry on RC frame projects
  • Experience in foundations, drainage, concrete works, and reinforced concrete frame construction
  • Confident working with traditional and proprietary formwork systems
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Strong awareness of health and safety requirements on construction sites
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with other trades
  • Right to work in the UK

  • 5+ years' experience in groundworks and/or shuttering carpentry
  • CPCS or NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) plant tickets
  • Dumper or Roller qualification
  • Harness Awareness Certification
  • IPAF, PASMA, MEWP, CPCS, or NPORS qualifications
  • Face Fit Certification
  • Working at Heights Certification
  • Confined Space Training
  • Street Works (NRSWA) qualification

To meet client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards that are CSCS-affiliated and carry the CSCS hologram.
