Senior Shuttering Carpenter – Sizewell C Construction Project
The SZC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across the Sizewell C project. Applications are now open for skilled Shuttering Carpenters to join the construction team at this major infrastructure Project.
Job Overview
We are recruiting experienced Shuttering Carpenters to play a pivotal role in delivering the Sizewell C construction project. This role offers the opportunity to work:

Key Responsibilities
- Formwork Construction & Installation
- Construct, assemble, and dismantle formwork for concrete pours
- Ensure accuracy of measurements and alignment for successful concrete placement

Technical Excellence
- Read and interpret technical drawings and construction specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialist equipment safely and efficiently

Collaborative Teamwork
- Work closely with steel fixers, concrete operatives, and other tradespeople
- Maintain clear communication to support seamless project progression

Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to strict site health, safety, and environmental standards at all times
- Promote a safety-first culture and report hazards promptly
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- CSCS Card – Blue or Gold preferred
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Formwork or Carpentry (Highly desirable)
- Right to work in the UK (You must be able to provide evidence)
- Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter on large-scale construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings with accuracy
- Strong understanding of health and safety in a construction environment
