SIA Gate Person – Construction Site Security Officer
We are looking for a professional and reliable SIA Gate Person to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining site security
- Controlling access to the construction site
- Ensuring all visitors, contractors, and deliveries comply with site procedures.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong understanding of health and safety
- A proactive approach to maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Controlling access to the construction site and preventing unauthorised entry
- Checking identification and verifying credentials of all visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers
- Signing visitors, contractors, and deliveries in and out of the site
- Monitoring the site entrance and carrying out regular security checks
- Recording and reporting any security incidents, breaches, or suspicious activity
- Maintaining accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records
- Responding appropriately to emergencies and escalating concerns to the site management team
- Ensuring compliance with site access procedures and health and safety requirements
- Maintaining a professional, courteous, and approachable manner with all stakeholders

Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guard)
- Valid CSCS Card (where applicable)
- Right to work in the UK
- Previous experience in a security or gate person role (preferred)
- Good understanding of construction site health and safety procedures
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
