SIA Gate Person

SIA Gate Person – Construction Site Security Officer

We are looking for a professional and reliable SIA Gate Person to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining site security
  • Controlling access to the construction site
  • Ensuring all visitors, contractors, and deliveries comply with site procedures.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong understanding of health and safety
  • A proactive approach to maintaining a safe and secure working environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Controlling access to the construction site and preventing unauthorised entry
  • Checking identification and verifying credentials of all visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers
  • Signing visitors, contractors, and deliveries in and out of the site
  • Monitoring the site entrance and carrying out regular security checks
  • Recording and reporting any security incidents, breaches, or suspicious activity
  • Maintaining accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies and escalating concerns to the site management team
  • Ensuring compliance with site access procedures and health and safety requirements
  • Maintaining a professional, courteous, and approachable manner with all stakeholders

Requirements

  • Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guard)
  • Valid CSCS Card (where applicable)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience in a security or gate person role (preferred)
  • Good understanding of construction site health and safety procedures
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
