We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Security Officer to join our Events team at Enable!

Based: Battersea Park & Wandsworth
Salary: £16.82 per hour (London Living Wage)
Contract: Casual
Work Arrangement: Casual - Onsite
DBS: Basic
Role Overview
Reporting to the Events Operations and Venues Manager, the role will be to ensure safety for all that are attending our venues and the delivery of exceptional customer service. Working in accordance with the regulations, processes, and procedures and under the direction of the Duty Managers/Lead Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of the premises is maintained as well as protecting its employees, assets, and its visitors at all times.
All our staff are required to deliver the highest levels of visitor service which consistently demonstrates Enable’s core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
This role will include early mornings and late nights, as well as weekend work on a rota basis. The casual security officer will also be responsible for ensuring that health and safety procedures are adhered to when on site and will be tasked with managing guests as they enter and leave the venues. All candidates must have an in date and valid SIA badge to apply.

This role is on a 0-hour contract.
The Events Team are a very busy, creative, tight knit group of vibrant professionals who strive to challenge and innovate wherever we can. We are a team of "yes" people who work tirelessly to deliver our events to the highest standard and pride ourselves on going the extra mile. We are a supportive team and have a flexible and collaborative approach to our work.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Supporting the events team in managing the safety and security of weddings and functions and any other events delivered by the Events Team
- Patrolling premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitoring and authorizing entrance of vehicles or people in the event site
- Securing all exits, doors, and windows after the end of events
- Supporting the events team with any additional tasks that ensure the successful running of events such as pack downs/set ups where required
- Having comprehensive knowledge of the venues including any restrictions, rules, or limitations and the ability to communicate these to clients, guests, and suppliers
- Early mornings will involve managing and coordinating suppliers to ensure that they adhere to park rules and set up in a safe, secure, and timely manner
- Late nights will involve managing guests to ensure that they leave the venue safely, whilst also coordinating and overseeing suppliers who are breaking down equipment
- Coordinating safe traffic management of suppliers and guest vehicles whilst in the park

The successful candidate will have:
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor License (minimum)
- Experience of working within the Security Industry
- Experience working in outdoor and/or indoor security environments
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A positive attitude
- Strong decision-making skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to remain calm and alert under pressure and during emergencies
- Willingness to learn and to complete essential training
- Hold a full manual UK driving license (preferred but not essential)
- Will be work weekends, early mornings, and late nights on a rota basis
