Siemens Teamcenter Administrator – Freight Components Engineering & Digital Team
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll be part of the Freight Components engineering and digital team, supporting key sites across Europe. As a Functional PLM / Teamcenter Administrator, you’ll collaborate daily with:
- Design engineers
- Production engineers
- CAD administrators
- The global PLM/IT organization
Your role will be central to UK engineering teams while fostering collaboration with colleagues in France, India, the US, and other Wabtec locations.

The Impact You’ll Make
Your contribution will drive: ✔ Reliability & quality of the Teamcenter PLM environment ✔ Support during a major PLM transformation, including:
- Data standardisation
- CAD integration improvements
- Multi-site migration from legacy systems (Windchill, Smarteam) to Teamcenter ✔ Ensures data integrity, enhances engineering workflows, and enables consistent global practices
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide daily PLM support to engineering teams in the UK & US
- Create & maintain Teamcenter queries, troubleshoot user issues, and manage access rights
- Open & validate CAD models in NX, SolidWorks, and Creo, identifying missing references or corrupt datasets
- Clean, correct, & standardise legacy data as part of multi-site migration activities
- Manage workflows by:
- Unblocking processes
- Updating statuses
- Fixing lifecycle inconsistencies
- Collaborate with:
- Global PLM architects
- CAD admins
- Data migration teams
- Develop & maintain:
- User documentation
- Best practices
- Specification & training materials
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline PLM tools & engineering processes

Applicants should have familiarity with Oracle and Power BI.
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced in:
- Teamcenter functional support
- PLM administration
- Teamcenter (Windchill/Smarteam) migration
- Understanding of:
- BMIDE concepts
- Workflows, queries, datasets, and lifecycle states
- Ability to open and troubleshoot NX, Creo, or SolidWorks assemblies
- Knowledge of product structure principles (e.g., EBOM, CadBOM)
- Experience supporting engineering teams in industrial environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to guide non-technical users
- Experience with data cleaning or multi-CAD environments is a strong plus
- Occasional travel may be required to the US
