Senior Sign Maker with Production & Installation Coordination Responsibilities

At Signage Systems, we create high-quality signage that helps businesses stand out. Based in Manchester, we design, manufacture, and install everything from illuminated fascia signs and vehicle graphics to window manifestations, fleet branding, and bespoke signage projects for some of the UK's best-known brands.

Role Description
We’re looking for an experienced Sign Maker who can take ownership of coordinating the production and installation of our projects. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys organizing work, maintaining high standards, and making sure every installation leaves the workshop complete, on time, and ready for site.

This is a hands-on role within production, but it’s equally about organization, communication, and attention to detail. You’ll coordinate jobs from manufacture through to installation, ensuring everything is complete, quality checked, and ready before it reaches site.
Every day you’ll work closely with management, production staff, and installation teams, keeping projects on schedule, solving problems, and making sure everyone has what they need to deliver successful installations.
Your Responsibilities
- Acting as the link between the workshop, management, and installation teams
- Coordinating jobs from production through to installation
- Checking work meets our quality standards before leaving the workshop
- Ensuring all signage, graphics, and components are complete and installation ready
- Organising drawings, fixings, LEDs, materials, tools, and installation packs
- Liaising with production teams and installers throughout each project
- Managing production schedules and helping keep projects on track
- Maintaining stock levels where required
- Making sure deadlines are consistently achieved

Experience Required
We’re looking for someone with proven experience in many of the following, which would be advantageous:
- CNC machinery
- LED signage
- Large format print
- Vinyl application and plotters
- Vehicle graphics and livery
- Sign making software
- Production planning
- Quality control
- Stock management
- Preparing installations
- Managing projects from manufacture through to installation
