Sign Maker & Installer
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Sign Maker & Installer to join our busy team at Signs Express (Taunton). This varied role involves the production and installation of a wide range of signage solutions, including vehicle graphics, interior and exterior signs, window graphics, exhibition displays, and large-format prints. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Location: Signs Express (Taunton), 13A & B Galmington Trading Estate, Cornishway South, Taunton, TA1 5NQ
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Travel: A full, clean driving licence

Duties Include
- Operate and maintain large format printers, vinyl cutters and laminators.
- Interpreting briefs accurately with a great understanding of different signage and manufacturing techniques.
- Application of vinyl onto a variety of substrates including vehicles and window graphics.
- Sign making, working with a wide range of substrates including Dibond, acrylics, metals, wood, vinyl and Foamex, to a consistently high standard.
- Installing all types of internal and external signage, including fascia and post mounted signs.
- Ensuring all installations are completed on time, to budget and to our usual high standards.
- Following all company procedures and guidelines to ensure all signs are fitted safely and securely.
- Taking responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.
- Ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed.
- Providing outstanding customer service to our clients and others at all times.

What We Would Like From You
- A minimum of two years' industry experience making and installing a wide range of signage solutions.
- Experience in the use of wide format printers, vinyl plotters and laminators together with a strong understanding of signage and manufacturing techniques is essential.
- Proven experience in a sign fitting role is absolutely necessary, encompassing vehicle graphics application, panel application, installation and use of relevant software packages.
- You will have a positive, can-do attitude, be well organised and be able to work alone as well as part of our team.
- Good working knowledge of design and RIP software.
- The ability to interpret briefs accurately.
- IPAF/PASMA/CSCS accreditations (desirable but not essential).
- Clean driving licence.
- Professional, flexible, enthusiastic individual, a strong communicator, well organised and be able to work alone, as well as part of a team.
- An understanding of the importance of health & safety.
