Our Clinical Solutions team applies years of expertise and deep insight into customer needs to shape effective solutions across the drug development and commercialization continuum.

This Clinical Project Manager II role in Oncology enables you to play a key part in projects that drive real-world impact for patients while collaborating with innovative teams—delivering complexity with precision.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Leadership

  • Serve as the primary project manager overseeing interdisciplinary clinical research studies
  • Ensure compliance with GCP, relevant SOPs, and regulatory requirements
  • Act as the key liaison between Syneos Health and the customer to deliver study launch, execution, and closure aligned with contractual agreements

Operations & Accountability

  • Lead project teams to manage quality, timelines, and budgets
  • Oversee financial performance of the project
  • Coordinate deliverables across all study conduct partners and proactively manage issues
  • Ensure GCP compliance, accountability for TMF quality, and completion of database study information
  • Lead inspection readiness for all study aspects

Stakeholder & Business Development

  • Prepare project management reports for clients and internal management
  • Host and facilitate internal and external meetings
  • Develop contingency planning and risk mitigation strategies for smooth delivery
  • Strengthen client relationships to generate new business opportunities (add-on projects)
  • Represent project management in bid defense meetings as required

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Manages and mentors team members as needed (project management staff and clinical monitoring roles)

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, or related healthcare discipline
  • Preferred: Clinical research organization (CRO) experience with expertise in oncology
  • Strong knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills, ability to manage time independently, and direct therapeutic area expertise
  • Enthusiastic about emerging technologies
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills
  • Approximately 25% travel expected as needed
