Sister - Charge Nurse
Location: Ridgeway Hospital, Swindon Contract: 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £46,200.00 per year (depending on experience, training and qualifications)
About the Role
The Sister – Charge Nurse opportunity at Ridgeway Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, invites a skilled senior nurse to lead clinical care, oversee nursing teams, and ensure high standards of patient safety and effectiveness across 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern.

Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on clinical care, acting as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
- Coordinate daily clinical activity, ensuring safe staffing levels, appropriate skill mix, and continuity of care.
- Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, ensuring responsibilities are defined and aligned to patient needs.
- Support junior nurses, HCAs and students through development, appraisal, and competency assessment.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with NMC and organisational standards.
- Promote compliance with infection prevention, medication safety, safeguarding, and clinical governance priorities.

Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with a valid NMC registration.
- Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant specialty.
- Experience in leading and supervising a team within a clinical environment.
- Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and coordination skills.
- Commitment to high patient care standards and professional development.
