Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has now arisen to be part of an excellent team Gate 33B at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

We are seeking an highly motivated, enthusiastic individual who can bring his/her clinical expertise to the team, by providing support in leading the delivery of excellent patient care. The successful candidate will also lead in ensuring safe and efficient assessment and triage of surgical patients.

Main duties of the job
- Responsible for the day to day running of the ward with a dedicated team of nurses.
- Supervision and support of staff.
- Participation in the planning development and evaluation of services within a very busy surgical team.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
- Day to day manage of a team of staff working within designated clinical area.
- Work closely with Supervisory Sister/Charge Nurse to ensure the efficient and effective running of area of responsibility.
- Have overall responsibility for ensuring their clinical area is safe during each shift.
- Deputise for the Supervisory Sister/Charge Nurse and form part of the speciality senior nursing team.
- Contribute to the development of patient-centred services.
- Contribute to the successful attainment of Trust and national quality and safety objectives.
- Provide specialist clinical advice and care within designated area of responsibility.
- Ensure safe and effective patient flow through the emergency zone and on to through the inpatient wards
- The individual will be visible and accessible to patients and their families and staff, ensuring all patients and their families have the opportunity to seek information, help and support or to communicate problematic or celebratory issues.
