About the Role

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Unit Manager to maintain and build upon the high standards of care and patient safety that our team is proud to deliver. Your leadership and clinical expertise will be key in ensuring that every patient receives safe, timely, and compassionate care.

You will be warmly welcomed and well supported by a fantastic team who are passionate and aspire to provide excellent care.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with ward managers to maintain and improve high standards of care and patient safety.
  • Lead from the front as a Band 6, providing leadership during shifts.
  • Coordinate the shift, ensuring smooth operations and patient flow.
  • Attend ward rounds and actively participate in patient care discussions.
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure collaborative care.
  • Support staff wellbeing and development, offering guidance and mentorship.
  • Assist the ward manager with leadership and management responsibilities, including:
    • Fostering a positive team culture.
    • Coordinating service delivery.
    • Ensuring the smooth running of the unit.
    • Drive excellence in clinical and operational aspects of the service.
